What is CUNY?
The City University Of New York (CUNY) is a publicly funded university system spanning all across the New York City boroughs. It includes 25 colleges ranging from four-year schools, community colleges, and graduate/professional schools.

Steps to apply to a CUNY school
Go to The CUNY Website
Hover the cursor over "login" in the top, right hand corner.
Click Apply Now in the dropdown menu
From here you will See "Future students", and you will select "Start your application"
You will now be taken to the CUNY application, click "Register now" under the login button. On the right hand side, you will see "I would like to apply as a:" and you will select Freshman Applicant.
Then, you will see "Select your application": Select freshman, only select Macaulay Honors if you have a GPA of 94 or higher and have reviewed the program requirements.
Now you can fill in the required information and create a username and password. Once you fill out all of your information, please click "Register now". (Please save your username and password either on you phone or in a notebook).
Now you can log in to your CUNY account using the information you just created using the link from step one (Login-> Apply now-> Future Students-> Finish my application-> Login).
Fill out the application to the best of your ability using accurate information.
Make sure you have the correct high school listed. Instead of typing in the name of the school, use the CEEB code: 331936
Make sure your OSIS number is correct.
Please meet with a College Office staff member so they can review your application. If you made a mistake, we will let you correct it! If you are interested in a fee waiver, please discuss with a member of the college office staff and we will proceed based on your situation.
Submit with a College Office staff member.

CUNY Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) - CUNY’s ASAP program helps students earn associate degrees within three years by providing a range of financial, academic, and personal supports including comprehensive and personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, waivers for tuition and mandatory fees, MTA MetroCards, and additional financial assistance to defray the cost of textbooks.
CUNY SEEK & College Discovery - The shared mission of the SEEK and College Discovery Programs is to assist in providing equality of higher education to students who otherwise would not have such access. Program efforts are intended to increase the level of education, social capital, and workforce expertise in our City and State.
